GAME MEAT
Boar, deer, roe — roasted with cranberries, honey, juniper. Game pâté. Masurian goulash.
MUSHROOMS
Bay boletes, chanterelles, porcini, kings — soups, sauces, marinades.
LIQUEURS
Masurian krupnik (honey + vodka), cranberry liqueur, juniper liqueur, caraway liqueur. Specialty: "Wileńska" with 25 herbs.
POTATO BABKA
Suwałki specialty — grated potatoes baked with meat in a cast-iron pot, drizzled with cracklings.
KARTACZE
Potato dumplings filled with minced meat, drizzled with cracklings. Lithuanian origin.
MASURIAN GOULASH
Beef stew with forest mushrooms, carrots, tomatoes. Served with kasha.
