Krutynia is Poland's most famous kayak river — 102 km of winding natural route through 14 lakes and Pisz Wilderness forests. Called "the Polish Amazon" for its lush bankside vegetation.
Classic route: Sorkwity → Bełdany (7-12 days kayaking). Most beautiful segments: Mokre, Krutyń, Ukta, Spychowo. Water stations every 10-15 km with campsite, showers, electricity.
Wildlife: beaver (lodges visible), otter, kingfisher, grey heron, elk along banks. Crystal-clear water, marshy sections with water lilies.
Kayak rentals: Sorkwity, Krutyń, Ukta. Price 50-80 PLN/day. 5-7 day packages with transport ~800 PLN. Season: May-September.
